Based on Luke 8:40-56
One time, while Jesus was teaching, a man named Jairus approached Him. Jairus begged Jesus to come to his home to save his 12 year old daughter who was dying. Immediately, Jesus followed Jairus.
On the way, a woman who had been sick for 12 years also wanted Jesus to heal her. Desperate, she touched the edge of His robe.
Jesus turned to see who had touched him. She fell before Him and explained why she touched Him. Jesus responded, “Your faith has saved you. Go in peace.” She left, healed.
As the crowd started again toward Jairus’ house, a messenger came and said to Jairus, “Your daughter has died. There is no need to bother The Teacher any longer.”
When Jesus heard this, He turned to Jairus and said, “Do not be afraid. Just have faith and she will be saved.”
When they arrived, Jesus, James, John, Peter and Jairus joined the girl’s mother in her room. Everyone was crying and Jesus said, “Do not cry any longer. She is not dead but is sleeping.”
Then, He took her by the hand and said, “Child, rise!” She immediately woke up.
